How many things are going on throughout the week celebrating traditions of our area, toasting chestnuts and making panellets or listening to the Iaia Castanyera and her beautiful history.
We’ve also traveled around the world learning about the festivals and traditions of other countries … did you know that in Mexico it’s a tradition to eat skull-shaped sweets? Or that in Austria food, water, and a light must be left on the table to welcome spirits? And that in China the day of the hungry ghosts is celebrated!? !!?!
Among stories of witches, skeletons and vampires, terrifying choreographies, face painting workshops, pumpkin picking and miraculous tea extracted from the plants of our garden, this year the Castanyada & Halloween have gone like the wind!
